Dive into our pottery adventure for K-12 creators! For ages 6 and up, our weekly sessions blend the thrill of hand-building and wheel-throwing, letting you craft standout pots, bold sculptures, and more with expert guidance—perfect for beginners or budding artists. For ages 9 and under, our 1-hour weekly hand-building class offers a cool, creative vibe, shaping clay into unique pieces like sleek bowls or striking figures. Get your hands dirty and spark your imagination in these awesome, skill-boosting courses! Up to 10 in class size. 

At Pecan Ranch, we believe in helping students appreciate the beauty of God’s creation and the value of hard work. In our hands-on Beekeeping class, students will explore the amazing world of honeybees — learning about hive life, pollination, and how bees work together to create something sweet!

Students will suit up to observe live hives, make their own beeswax crafts, and, when possible, help collect honey to sell at Pecan Ranch events. Through these interactive experiences, kids will gain a deeper respect for nature, responsibility, and the rewards of teamwork.

By the end of class, students will have a buzz-worthy understanding of how bees impact our world — and how caring for them connects us to creation and community.

Young Woodworkers ages 5-8

In our woodworking class, students ages 6 and up learn the fundamentals of woodworking while creating practical and beautiful projects. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, students will develop hands-on skills in measuring, cutting, and assembling wood to craft items such as garden boxes and cutting boards. This class not only fosters creativity and problem-solving but also provides students with the opportunity to sell their finished projects at our quarterly storefront, teaching them valuable entrepreneurial skills. 

Stitch up some fun in our sewing class for K-12 creators! This weekly session is all about mastering the needle and thread, as you craft cool aprons, trendy scrunchies, and stylish shorts or skirts. Perfect for beginners or aspiring designers, you’ll learn to tackle buttons, zippers, and more with expert tips to boost your skills. For ages 8 and up, this hands-on course sparks creativity and precision—sew your way to awesome projects and wear your imagination proudly in this exciting, skill-packed class. Up to 10 in class size

Designed for creatives aged 10 and up! Each week, the students dive into our 1-hour hands-on class by learning to capture breathtaking shots by mastering the art of framing, lighting, and focus. Explore exciting techniques in portraits, landscapes, and action photography with expert guidance. Whether you’re a beginner or a budding photographer, this course will build your skills from scratch. Discover the magic of seeing the world through a lens and create stunning images you’ll love sharing with others!

K-6 grade Class

7-12 grade Class

This class introduces students to the basics of the Spanish language, focusing on listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Through interactive lessons, students will learn practical vocabulary, simple grammar, and everyday phrases to build confidence in communication. The course also explores the rich culture and traditions of Spanish-speaking countries, making learning engaging and meaningful. Perfect for beginners, this class provides a strong foundation for further language study.

Gameschooling is an educational approach that uses games-both educational and fun-to teach academic subjects and life skills in an engaging, hands-on way. It helps children learn concepts like math, reading, history, and science while developing critical thinking, teamwork, and resilience, all in a low-pressure, enjoyable environment. At Pecan Ranch Academy, we proudly offer gameschooling as part of our diverse learning programs, providing students with a dynamic and interactive way to explore new skills and foster a lifelong love of learning

Our unique art class invites students in grades K-6 to explore their creativity through a variety of hands-on projects, including drawing, painting, and other mixed media. Along the way, students will discover inspiring artists and art styles that encourage imagination and self-expression. This fun, supportive environment helps build confidence and teamwork while nurturing each child’s artistic voice. At the end of each quarter, students will have an art show for families to attend. Here they will display their work as well as highlight a famous artist from history. 

Kids of all ages get to jump in and experiment with gluten-free, egg-free baking—sometimes trying out sourdough and other times mixing up soft cookies  or breads. Expect lots of hands-on mess, new flavors, and creative twists on classic treats, all made with simple, allergy-friendly ingredients. Each class is about exploring, tasting, and learning together—with plenty of laughs and goodies to eat.

In our crochet class, students from kindergarten to 12th grade discover the joy of creating handmade items while developing fine motor skills and patience. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, students will learn basic stitches and techniques to craft a variety of projects, from simple scarves to intricate patterns. This class encourages creativity, relaxation, and social interaction, allowing students to express themselves through yarn and thread. Finished projects can be showcased and sold at our quarterly storefront, providing students with the opportunity to share their talents and earn money from their creations.

In our science class, students from kindergarten to 12th grade we dive into the fascinating world of discovery and experimentation. Currently, students are exploring motion, simple machines, and the incredible dynamics of how things move, as well as delving into the mysteries of marine biology and life beneath the waves. Through hands-on experiments, engaging discussions, and interactive activities, students will develop critical thinking and a deeper understanding of the natural world. Students will reinforce what they have learned through out the semester by giving an oral presentation to the class.

In our Geography class, students explore the diverse landscapes, cultures, and environments that make up our world and what occured there. This class combines hands-on activities with interactive maps and real-world examples to help students understand the relationships between people, places, and the environment. Students will learn to navigate maps, identify global patterns, and appreciate the unique characteristics of different regions and students will follow up with what they learn with a presentation open to the families to attend.

At Pecan Ranch, we believe it’s important for our students to develop a love for God and country while learning what it means to be strong, responsible citizens. Our history classes emphasize these values through a hands-on journey into America’s story! In this engaging class, students will learn about the Founding Fathers, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights in a way that’s exciting and easy to understand. Using The Tuttle Twinsbook series, games, and creative projects, we’ll explore the ideas of freedom, responsibility, and individual liberty that helped shape our nation. Kids will not just learn history — they’ll experience it!

For those who need additional guidance, we offer dedicated tutoring services to ensure every student has the tools they need to succeed.

Join us for one of our Pecan Ranch Marketplace Events, where learning, creativity, and community come together! Throughout the year, our students take part in hands-on classes — from beekeeping and sewing to woodshop and art — creating beautiful, handmade items that reflect their hard work and imagination.

At our events, students not only showcase their creations but also help run the booths, learning real-world skills in entrepreneurship, teamwork, and responsibility. Guests will have the chance to purchase student-made products, such as fresh honey, beeswax crafts, wood projects, art, and more.
